
Silvertone airline has suspended its fleet indefinitely after an online uproar following continuous accidents.
The company which operates locally had registered a couple of accidents in a short period that raised eyebrows on its safety.
The Kenya Aiport Authority had issued the company to suspend its Dash 8 fleet after concerns from Kenyans who have gone through the hands of Silverstone terming it as ‘Matatu’ airline.
In the spirit of compliance, the company suspended all its scheduled services citing the safety of their customers as of importance.
In compliance with the CAA directive to suspend operations on our Dash 8 fleet, we have temporarily suspended all our scheduled services, the safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft remain our highest priority.
Silverstone first had its accident at the Wilson Airport when the aircraft rumbled soon after taking off.
