The best Rapper in Africa, Khaligraph Jones, has blasted the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) for paying him peanuts.
The OG expressed disbelief for receiving less than five thousand bob even after his career picking up and getting massive airplay.
However, this is not something new in the music industry as seen before as the biggest boy band, Sauti Sol with a decade in music, got peanuts for royalties.
Taking to his Instagram, Khaligraph bashed the commission for paying artists less than they deserve and vowed to allow anyone to do pirating for his songs.
MCSK Siku Moja Tutakuja Kuwavuruga uko Mbaya Sana, Msijaribu kunitumia izi peanuts tena, Infact I have given Authorization for my Music to be pirated, Don’t collect money on my Behalf anymore, Nisiskie mmeshika mtu akicheza Wimbo zangu kwa street, msinitumie izo peanuts zenu tena, The OG shall be respected
Other musicians came out too, gun blazing declaring that they thought they were the only one getting meager royalties.
