
Detectives from the Director of Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) are questioning staff over the controversial Firearms deal that hit the headline last week.
The questioning is going on at the Deputy President’s offices n Harambee Annex where the 23 minutes deal was conceived by former sports CS, Rashid Echesa.
A source who shared with Citizen Digital intimated that the sleuths are set to question all staff that work under the DP; including the security guards.
According to the source, the detectives are looking at why and who let them pass all the way to the boardroom.
However, of utmost importance to the detectives, as the source indicated, are the employees who were present on the date Rashid Echesa and the foreigners involved in the deal allegedly visited the office.
Rashid Echesa has since been arrested and arranged in the court of law.
Echesa and his co-accused are said to have attempted to obtain a total of Ksh.39,544,200,000 from Kozlowski Stanley Bruno by falsely pretending that they would award him a tender by the State Department to supply military equipment.
DP Ruto has been blasting media houses for spreading propaganda but also on Sunday hinted that Echesa and co accused spent 23 mins in the boardroom.
