Deputy President William Ruto on Friday launched an attack at ODM leader Raila Odinga over the controversial Building Bridges (BBI) report.
The DP who has since changed the tune in support for BBI report slammed Raila after the former Prime Minister urged Kenyans to exercise patience over the implementation of the recommendations contained in the report.
Raila had earlier urged Kenyans to brace themselves for 2020 door-to-door explanations for better understanding of the BBI report that has brought divisive politics.
“We want to thank Kenyans for standing with us against all odds. It will take time for us to get where we want to be, but we are on track,” Raila had said.
However, the DP through his Twitter page mocked the ODM leader for making the report about himself instead of the 47 million Kenyans.
“Boss, the last time I checked Kenya was the collective business of the 47m of us. When did it become yours, for the rest of us to be patient with you, as you decide what is good for us!” he responded back.
“Yaani sasa imefika hapo? Please, a little decency & respect is not much to ask of you ndugu,” the DP added.
This elicited mixed reactions from a section of Kenyans and some say that Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi could be the one handling the account.
Ruto changed his tune on BBI in a drastic move that saw Tanga Tanga team supporting it after it was launched and emphasized on speedy implementation of the report.
It is believed that Ruto had much to gain from the Report as compared to Raila who with ODM leaders, want some section changed and later call for a referendum.
