Deputy President William Ruto has mocked Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua after claiming DP, Murkomen, and Duale threatened him.
DP during an event in Budalang’i on Sunday, maintained that he only gave Mutua a firm handshake but the governor called it threats.
“He ran to report me to the police. What if he had shaken hands with someone from this region who has been stirring a pot? He may have run to the Hague,” Ruto said.
Mutua last week recorded a statement with Kilimani police station stating that DP Ruto, Murkomen, and Duale threatened him at the State House.
“Wewe lazima sasa nikugonge. Nitakugonga (You. I must now crush you. I will crush you),” Governor Mutua recalled Ruto’s words.
Duale and Murkomen dismissed the allegations saying those are just theatrics from someone trying to remain relevant.
Ruto was in Budalang’i with the former MP Ababu Namwamba who is now Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
