Twitter erupted on Sunday after KTN partisan Talk Show Host Tony Gachoka claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy Dr. William Ruto had fallen apart irredeemably.
Tony took to Twitter to brag about his relationship with the President and that he had spoken to him about the state of his working relationship with his deputy. He also claimed that they discussed the future of the country after Kenyatta’s retirement.
Posing as a Mount Kenya insider, Tony tweeted:
“Speaking as Mt. Kenya insider not as a media man take it or leave it, DP William Ruto and Uhuru have fallen out irredeemably! I have spoken with the President about this and on the future of Kenya as he retires. TG speaks as it is; now haters can tweet.”
The tweet immediately received backlash replies from the supporters allied to the Deputy President and other responsible Kenyans who strongly opposed his claims, urging him to stop dividing Kenyans as a Media Personality.
Director of Digital Innovation at State House who has been on the frontline, not shying away from showing his support and loyalty to the Deputy President replied:
Haiya…there is now something called Mt.Kenya insider? Hahaa. Tutaona Maajabu. Ok. So as an insider have you also seen coffee rates have come with a low rate? That we have industries that need to be revived? That we need Agricultural subsidy? Ama tusome hii insider kwa Twitter

The ever biased Tony Gachoka hosts KTN Point Blank, a recorded Talk Show that premieres on KTN Home and KTN News every Wednesday at 10.00 PM. Some viewers are however disappointed with the kind of strategy he has been employing, an indication that he needs to pull up his socks if he really needs to win the battle over viewership ratings with other rival TV Talk Shows like the one hosted by former CNN journalist, Jeff Koinange on Citizen TV.
