Saturday marked the biggest day in the history of Kenya’s heritage after Eliud Kipchoge shook the world with the 1:59 record in Vienna, Austria.
Kenyans across the globe celebrated the historic record Kipchoge made by running for 42 kilometres under two hours breaking his previous record.
President Kenyatta praised the champ before the race and the government promised to give historic reception when he jets back to the country.
Leaders across the political divide came together to celebrate the iconic marathoner who united Kenyans.
Deputy President William Ruto was among the leaders who joined Kipchoge in Vienna with the aim of showing solidarity and to witness history in the making.
With the hilarious social media posts, one individual who was seen in Vienna resembled the late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth.
Twitter went frenzy after photos of Ken Okoth’s look-alike emerged. The guy, who has not been identified, had all features like that of Okoth. A gap in his teeth, glasses on, and body gesture.
Some went ahead and praised Kipchoge for ‘bringing Ken Okoth back to life” to witness the Ineos challenge.
